Inspection of a brackish water piping in the harbour of Antwerp

Inspection of a brackish
water piping
in the harbour of Antwerp

what did we do:

Industries are littered with pipelines and piping structures in steel, plastic or concrete. To guarantee safety and production continuity, these assets must be inspected periodically. In this case, we inspected a part of the piping with an indoor drone. Parts of the structure could be reached and inspected in a safe way. Specific parts (compensators, blind flanges, valves, probes) that are located in the pipes were also included detailed in the inspection. 3D models were made to determine subsidence and the location of damage. When the pipeline is not accessible with an indoor drone, a pipe crawler and/or ROV can be used or combinations of these data capture techniques can be made.
