Vinçotte & SkyeBase join forces to offer innovative drone & robot inspections

SkyeBase, a pioneer in drone and robot inspections and data analysis, is entering a strategic partnership with Vinçotte to revolutionize the inspection and certification services sector.
This collaboration leverages SkyeBase’s cutting-edge technological expertise and Vinçotte’s rich heritage, solidifying their position as leaders in a constantly evolving market. Together, they aim to push the boundaries of innovation, combining efficiency, safety, and sustainability in industrial inspections.

Industrial challenges

The inspections industry faces a variety of challenges – think asset downtime, safety risks, a shortage of technical staff and a lack of insights for preventive and predictive maintenance. The consequences are often significant: after all, unplanned downtime means higher costs, reduced efficiency and increased safety risks.

These challenges are especially prevalent in areas such as process industries, tank and container terminals and infrastructure, where assets like storage tanks, pipelines, harbour cranes and bridges are critical.

By combining Vinçotte’s expertise with SkyeBase’s intelligent modular platform, the collaboration will help customers overcome these challenges and transform the landscape of inspections. The focus is on autonomous and intelligent inspections, which not only increase efficiency but also provide valuable insights to optimize preventive maintenance and stop issues before they arise.

Transforming the future

The investment of Vinçotte offers SkyeBase growth opportunities and the ability to provide even greater support to our clients, through offering fully customized solutions.

Together, we are responding to the growing demand for smart inspection solutions and contributing to more efficient and safer processes as they strive for growth, innovation and leadership.

For Vinçotte, the move strengthens the integration of drone and data technology in its inspection services. For SkyeBase, it’s a chance to develop its technologies and to leverage Vinçotte’s market knowledge and experience.

Michel Vandegard, CXO of Vinçotte: “We combine traditional reliability and expertise with cutting-edge technology to transform the future of safety inspections.”

Better for clients

SkyeBase is distinguished by its modular and scalable approach, and the collaboration with Vinçotte offers a unique total solution. As part of the collaboration, both companies will integrate an advanced robotics competence center with intelligent I-Spect software, a platform for inspections that’s supported by AI, 3D models and live video streaming.

For Ilse Vanderlocht, Managing Director Belgium-Luxembourg of Vinçotte, the participation is a great opportunity to join forces and position the company as a leader in the intelligent inspections market.

She says: “Together we can offer innovative solutions that will give us the opportunity to help our clients even better, which is fully in line with Kiwa’s strategy.”

Vinçotte sees their innovation power accelerate, while SkyeBase can take its data management services to the next level for the European market.

“This collaboration enables us to scale up our drone and robot technologies and realize our vision of data-driven inspections, leading to more efficient and sustainable processes,” says Tom Daniëls, CEO of SkyeBase.

Progressive services

Vinçotte and SkyeBase both see this move as a strategic opportunity to expand their geographical presence within and outside the EU, increase their innovative strength and pool their inspection and digital solutions. The goal is to serve customers even better with integrated and progressive services.

SkyeBase already provides inspection for clients such as ExxonMobil, DP World, Umicore and the Flemish government’s Roads & Traffic Agency. Together with Vinçotte, SkyeBase plans to expand in Europe, with a specific focus on markets outside the Benelux.
