World Crane Services – STS Crane Inspection Thailand

Our drone inspection specialist traveled from Belgium to Thailand for a comprehensive technical inspection of port cranes. This project, carried out in collaboration with World Crane Services (WCS), aimed to enhance the operational reliability and efficiency of this critical infrastructure.

By utilizing advanced drones equipped with high-definition cameras, we were able to accurately analyze the critical components of the port cranes. This technology allows for the detection of structural wear and damage in hard-to-reach areas, the generation of precise 3D models for defect localization and measurements, and a significant reduction in inspection time compared to traditional methods such as rope access techniques. Moreover, safety risks for personnel are minimized, as inspections at heights or in hazardous environments can be conducted without physical contact.

Our data-driven approach provides operators and maintenance teams with detailed insights into the condition of their assets, enabling better planning of preventive maintenance and preventing unexpected downtime. This results in lower operational costs through targeted interventions instead of reactive repairs and extends the lifespan of critical infrastructure by identifying wear patterns in a timely manner.
