SGS - Inspection of fire water tank

For the inspection of a fire water tank, our ROV was called upon at the request of SGS. This compact submarine is launched through the manhole. Walls, the bottom and pipes can thus be easily inspected on damage. In firewater tanks, this can usually be done visually, and complimentary, sonar provides additional clarity around cracks, amount of dirt on the bottom, etc.

With the ROV, UT wall thickness measurements can also be pursued to determine wall thickness.

This solution avoids emptying the tank or entering of the tank by divers. Thus, this underwater drone inspection with an ROV is a safe and economical solution.
